Fingering Weight


All yarns are dyed with professional acid dyes in my smoke free cat friendly home studio. Each hand dyed skein is unique. Even within the same dye lot there can be variances. Though I keep good notes and do my best to keep this at a minimum, I cannot guarantee against it. If you are working on a larger project it is recommended that you alternate between two different skeins to minimize the visual effect of this variance.

Minimal bleeding occasionally occurs with the first wash or two. Please wash separately. I recommend that you hand wash all hand knits to ensure longevity. Wash in water that is room temperature using a detergent specifically for wool such as Eucalan or Soak. Hand made wool wash or woolite is not recommended as some of the chemicals can break dye bonds. Water above 130 degrees Fahrenheit can also alter these bonds.

Matchy Matchy sets are pairs of 50g skeins that are dyed in a such a manner that the stripes match exactly. This makes having perfectly matched sock a breeze. They are ideal for those knitting wizards that can knit their socks 2 at a time.

Care Instructions

Hand washing is recommended but who has time for that! I generally machine wash and let them air dry. for larger projects you may want to lay them flat and lightly block them or follow pattern recommendations for care.
