This colorway is very special to me.  Both sets of my grandparents grew up in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, right in the heart of Appalachia.  I spent a lot of time up there as a kid and was raised myself in the foothills of Appalachia.

This colorway has 11 stripes.  It was difficult to get the photos exactly how I wanted and still show all the stripes.  The colorways for the stripes are as follows

Zenias
Blackberry Dumpllin's
Burley Tobacco
Coal Dust
Homegrown Tomato
Beans and Corncread
Sassafrass Tea
Lightnin' Bugs
Under the Kudzu
Hidden Still
Granny's Front Porch

This listing s for 2, 50g skeins of yarn. These two skeins are identical in their color progression so your socks (or mitts) match perfectly making you look like a genius!!

80% Superwash Merino

U.S. Sise #1-3 or D hook

21.5 Micron merino grown, sheared and processed on U.S. soil blends with cashmere-soft nylon to make a durable yarn while maintaining a soft hand. By using U.S. fibers not only do we support farmers who ethically raise their sheep, we can also reduce  our carbon footprint by not shipping to foreign processing plants.  This yarn is soft, sturdy and very elastic. A great choice for anything you want to hold it's shape, Sweaters, socks, hats and mittens are all excellent project ideas.

All yarns are dyed with professional acid dyes in my smoke free cat friendly home studio. Each hand dyed skein is unique. Even within the same dye lot there can be variances. Though I keep good notes and do my best to keep this at a minimum, I cannot guarantee against it. If you are working on a larger project it is recommended that you alternate between two different skeins to minimize the visual effect of this variance.

Minimal bleeding occasionally occurs with the first wash or two. Please wash separately. I recommend that you hand wash all hand knits to ensure longevity. Wash in water that is room temperature using a detergent specifically for wool such as Eucalan or Soak. Hand made wool wash or woolite is not recommended as some of the chemicals can break dye bonds. Water above 130 degrees Fahrenheit can also alter these bonds.

Every effort is made to represent colors in their truest form. Please understand that colors may show up slightly different due to variations in monitors. For the most recent updates please follow me on Instagram
